Matthew 6 is in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), the greatest recorded sermon of Jesus. He is teaching His disciples what true righteousness looks like in contrast to the outward, religious, performance-based righteousness of the Pharisees.
### Who Is Speaking?
